It’s a Shore thing! Six international guest comedians kick off the 2013 NZ International Comedy Festival at the Bruce Mason Centre in Takapuna. The BMC on Auckland’s North Shore joins the Comedy Festival party with a first night showcase packed with international comedy stars.

The show was an immediate hit with local audiences when staged for the first time in the 2012 Festival guaranteeing its return in 2013 with a fresh line-up of world class comedians.

Who’s who on stage in 2013?
Markus Birdman (England): A veteran of 5 Edinburgh Fringe fests - “the all-round package; witty, controversial, hip, topical and silly” - The BBC.

Elis James (Wales): One of Britain's finest emerging talents. Combining story telling, characters and straight stand up with the charming delivery that has made James such a favourite on the British comedy circuit.

James Acaster (England): 2012 Edinburgh Comedy Award Nominee - “one of the sharpest comic minds to have emerged in recent years.” - The Guardian UK

Andrew Bird (England): “Absolutely charming. A great storyteller. Funny, likable and effortless” - Time Out UK

Stuart Goldsmith (England): Definitely one to watch following 3 critically acclaimed solo shows over the last 3 Edinburgh Fringe Fests.

Chris Martin (England): Very popular on debut here in the 2012 Festival, back with a new show in 2013 and looking forward to catching up with a growing legion of fans.

All these acts will be appearing in a variety of shows throughout the festival including their own award winning solo shows but the ‘Comedy Allstars’ is a rare opportunity to see them altogether on the same stage.
