Connecting Humanity: A Case Study of Mobile Technologies for Improved Healthcare

EWB Auckland and IEEE are presenting a joint humanitarian engineering workshop this Saturday 9th November. The half-day workshop will take participants through the key principles of engineering design in developing countries. Participants will then put their new skills to use in a design challenge, where they will work in teams to design a mobile technology system for providing healthcare services to rural communities in Timor Leste (East Timor).

Special guests from Fisher & Paykel Healthcare and Imagine Cup-challenge finalists Team Connect will offer their insight and experience and act as judges for the design challenge.

Venue: Room 3.503, Engineering School, University of Auckland 20 Symonds St
Please RSVP: gold.ieee.nz.north@gmail.com by Friday 7th November

This event is free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided. Places are limited so please RSVP.
