Following the success of a #2 single (iTunes NZ Country Charts), and with TWO nominations for 'Best Song' at the QMA's in August, these two exquisite songwriters and performers - David Shanhun and Mark Moroney - join forces to entertain and inspire when they hit your city in October.
Prepare for a fun filled night, humour, emotion, some dazzling guitar playing... and some of the sneaky 'behind the scenes' stories that make up the lives of these two world class artists. Expect some tributes to some of our favourite artists in the mix, (Tommy Emmanuel, Keb Mo, Amos Lee...) along with a beautiful array of originals that will stick in your head and heart.
Here's what people are saying about Mark and David...
“Tender, passionate, emotive and full of glorious phrasing – out of this world”. - Mike Nettmann, The Bay Chronicle
“The way I judge music is by asking... “When you listen to it does it move you? Does it make the hair stand up on your arms? Does it bring tears to your eyes? David Shanhun's "I Believe in You" does all the above.” - Stephen Wrench, President of Musik and Film, USA.
NZ Country Music Awards Horizon Nominee Joshua Gray will be opening the show!
(Together these two artists have shared the bill with the likes of Billy Joel, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Juice Newton, Birds Of Tokyo, Dennis Marsh, Diesel, Bryan White, Mark Seymour, Gray Bartlett, Paul Ubana Jones, Bryce Wastney, Katie Thompson, Mark Mazengarb, Kaylee Bell, and Jody Direen.)
*There is an opportunity for secondary school artists to join us for a song on tour - see links above
