This May sees two of New Zealand’s sonic visionaries, Decortica and New Way Home, take their unique blend of polished alternative rock and metal around the North Island on a nine-stop tour.

This is the first opportunity to see either band touring since the acclaimed releases of New Way Home’s ‘Mirrors’ and Decortica’s ‘11811’ last year. It brings together two of the most exciting and unique acts from our next generation of hard rock. With originality, honesty and brilliant musicianship in common, expect both to deliver engrossing live performances with captivating moments of simple beauty and heavy, complex intensity.

Decortica’s uncompromising, angular alternative rock has drawn fans in for three albums and overwhelmed them at shows in New Zealand, Australia and Japan. Its creative force Mathew Bosher says “we’re excited to be involved in the tour. Both bands play the music they love and revel in the sweat, volume and immersive experience of performing live”.

New Way Home is a perfect union of seasoned musicians, made up of Sommerset and Blindspott alumni, veterans of tours with the Heavy Metal Ninjas and Architects, and performances with Killswitch Engage and Slipknot. The band has reformed for this tour to sate fans itching to hear ‘Tides’, ‘Mirror’ and ‘Chrysalis’ played live. Lead vocalist Rich Simpson says “We are pretty pumped about getting out and about with the Decortica lads. As far as our live show goes, we pride ourselves on sounding polished but with that added vibe that playing these songs live can bring. We've been doing this a long time. Over 10 years as a band. We lock in pretty tight.”
