Doc2doc is an event for lovers-of-documentary to hear about the projects documentary directors are currently working on, to offer feedback to directors and to support the documentary filmmaking environment in New Zealand.

The event encourages an open conversation about documentary projects in a safe environment.

Presenters will have 10 minutes to show a short clip and to present the project to an audience. The audience then has an opportunity to give feedback that will help shape the film.

Confirmed presentations so far are Briar March (dir. There Once was an Island) and Nina Wells with The Great Annual Waikato Seagull Race.

The event will be moderated by director Leanne Pooley who has recently returned from the Toronto International Film Festival where her film 'Edge of Darkness' received a critics review of 3.5 out of 4.

We'll also be hearing from the creators of Loading Docs, Anna Jackson and Julia Parnell (from Notable Pictures) about this new initiative: http://www.nzfilm.co.nz/news/announcing-loadingdocs
