'New Solutions' is the second documentary from Earthship Biotecture (the first was Garbage Warrior which followed the story of the founder Michael Reynolds). This second film is shot in Baja, California Peninsula in Mexico, where crew and interns work on a start-to-finish build. It documents the challenges and successes of people, place, environment, logistics, culture and climate.

It has also been described as "an introductory guide to building alternative sustainable housing, as well as showing with the use of animation how these buildings offer solutions to today's most important issues, like energy, water, food, shelter, sewage and recycling".
