Wellington already has NZ’s best public transport system - imagine if it was world-class!

We’ve got an opportunity to make that happen. Our decision-makers are right now debating the best solution to transform public transport in the city for the better - but will it be Light Rail, or Bus Rapid Transit?

Unfortunately, there isn’t a level playing field. The analysis that’s been done is flawed, with some dodgy assumptions and short-sighted thinking. The result? It doesn’t do Light Rail justice. Our city risks ending up with a bad decision and a huge missed opportunity.

On Sunday 8 December, Wellingtonians will travel Wellington’s main streets by Cardboard Train to show their support for Light Rail in the Capital, and call on decision makers to make sure it gets a fair analysis.

This is your opportunity to get on board!

We’ll bring the train. You bring some friends and help ensure Wellington gets the Public Transport System it deserves!

Departure details:
We’ll be on the move from 12.30 - 1.30

Fast Forward Wellington is Generation Zero’s campaign to keep our capital vibrant, modern, and a great place to live. An efficient public transport system is a vital part of this vision, and we believe that Light Rail could be a key part of Wellington’s transport future.
