GPS Symposium is for educators, parents and caregivers focused on preparing girls to navigate the 21st century.This is the only symposium in New Zealand focused solely on girls' education and supporting girls to be resilient, confident and connected to the world around them.

This symposium will explore some of the key issues that are relevant to today's challenges for young women. GPS is also about celebrating the opportunities for girls as well as giving educators, parents and caregivers the understanding, skills,and tools to support young women develop the competencies that will ensure they sit at the decision-making tables of the future.

A range of diverse speakers have been brought together to share their knowledge,research and experience across a spectrum of topics. Speakers include psychologist Karen Nimmo, educationalist Dr Julia Atkin,The Parenting Place Jenny Hale, Brainwave Trust presenter Kathryn Berkett, Netsafe's Lee Chisholm, nutritionist Katrina Darry as well as Dr Donna Swift, a specialist in violence among teenage girls.

This empowering symposium will close with a formal dinner at Sileni Estate Winery with special guest speaker Dame Jenny Shipley.
