And Callum Gentleman is leaving town on tour for a while, so pop down & have a dram, a boogie, a naughty school night.

Hopetoun Brown - “Well dressed musicians playing out of it tunes...”

Playing without amplification Hopetoun Brown fills the room with stomping, hollerin’, horns & Brilliance.
By day they're the Supergroove horn section. By night they stalk the streets, their antique wind instruments shrieking wildly. The pair measure each bar like a lumberjack aims his axe. Nick Atkinson's big clarinet supports Tim Stewart's heavy trumpet tone, a sound hefty enough to bend a bough. Boots stomp and the crowd hollers as Stewart's powerful voice soulfully bellows out hits like Not Enough Love & Road Runner Rocks.

Callum Gentleman - “The prince of darkness is a Gentleman”

Trouper, Raconteur, Impresario, Chancer, Murder Ballad Lover; Callum Gentleman basically writes stories. He kinda plays a blues/folk noir which can be described as Nick Cave meets The Smiths in a dark alley where they conspire to kidnap Bob Dylan & move to New Zealand. However with each set punctuated with stories & banter with the crowd in attendance that description is up for negotiation every night.

Brendan Turner - “Brendan does the Devil’s work while God's away on business.“

The thumb on his right hand has more groove than whole rhythm sections. He adds style to Bond Street Bridge & nails solid stomping guitar licks for Bat Country. Tonight folks he’s throwing down solo.

Scott J Mason - “Tall, dark, devilishly handsome man of music & mystery”

Scott J Mason is a Southern Man who’s laid roots in the north. He made his name in the NZ music scene drumming & singing for bands Gasoline Cowboy, Slim, Fuce & Dylan Storey. He’s toured along side acts such as Shihad, The Finn Brothers, Tool, The Melvins, Salmonella Dub & many more. Scott’s begun producing his own solo material, songs of loss, sorrow, alcoholism, religion, death, love, hope, bunnies and the end of the world as we know it.
