Mud Festival

At the Kauri Church Green

"We asked what was distinctive about Northland winters; the answer was Mud!
So we decided to have some fun and celebrate. We're planning on rain, but can cope with sunshine :) " - Martin the Minister.

Activities
- Mud pile for playing & dancing in
- The Muddy Slide!
- Treasure hunt
- Painting with mud
- Gumboot throwing competition
- Story-time
- Coloured clay activities and playing with colours
Free Hot soup, buns and hot drinks.
Children and adults welcome.
Shelter and chairs for those who prefer to watch rather than participate!
We invite all interested/curious people to come to this Kauri Community Event.
An opportunity for Kauri locals to meet together, hosted by the Kaurihohore Historic Church congregation.

Bring your:
- 20 cent pieces for a money scramble
- Towels and dry clothes
- Camp chairs
- big rubbish bag for your child!
- gumboots, warm hats, rainwear, jackets etc.

Before the festival, you're also welcome to a themed church service at 10:30 am.
But come dressed for the celebration: - Be bold, be brave, be funny!
