Saturday night quality dining meets with Kirsten Te Rito & James Illingworth.

Kirsten Te Rito
With her rich jazz tones, strong soaring vocals and 'funktastic' debut album, Kirsten Te Rito was named New Zealand's leading Female Māori Solo Artist for 2012 at the Waiata Māori Music Awards in September. Kirsten's sound is eclectic and nicely influenced by jazz, hip hop and soul. Her smokey vocals were also featured on the 2011 Best New Zealand Jazz Album of the year 'Resonator'.

Kirsten is accompanied with well known Wellington pianist James Illingworth. He is a busy boy and plays in many bands - Hollie Smith, Iva Lamkum, Lisa Tomlins, Reuben Bradley Trio, James Illingworth Trio, Son Clave, The Rounds, Rec-loose Live Band & Kirsten Te Rito to name a few. He started piano at age six and went on to gain a Ba.MUS at the Wellington Conservatorium of Music in Jazz Performance. Today James is recognized as one of New Zealand's leading pianists, not only in the Jazz arena but as an accompanist, a composer, session player, arranger and performer who effortlessly crosses many genres.

Don Franks, our resident pianist and consummate professional, will be playing from 6 till 8pm for that relaxed dining and music, then be amazed and charged with the fusion of energy, beauty and passion balanced with skill, finesse and precision as Kirsten & James share with us a mix of Jazz Soul and a little R&B funk.

Daddy O's has quality live music 6 nights a week.
