Music for Romantics

Throughout history, composers have been writing songs about love, romantic songs that encompass either all the passion and joy of being in love, all the despair and pain of unrequited or lost love, or sometimes even quirky songs that have a more irreverent view of romance!

The Daytime Concert Series brings you the best music for romantics, with a mix of classical, operatic, Viennese, light opera, contemporary and funny songs.

The show features violinist extraordinaire Jessica Hindin, who played in our 2010 Vienna concert and led the string trio in our Best of the Classics concert 2012. She will be joined by another favourite guest artist young tenor, Cameron Barclay who sang in our 2012 Viva Italia with wonderful string trio including Rachel Wells. Married couple Susan Boland and John Cameron will lead the troupe and are guaranteed to throw in some smultzy love duets as well!
