Following further study in West Germany and at the Guildhall in London, England, Janos has made a career as a performer, lecturer and editor of piano scores. He has spent much of his time in Japan where he has been Professor of Piano at Toho College of Music, Tokyo & Saitama, and at Musashino Academy of Music. He has, for 22 years, been the President of the Leschetizky Society of Japan, an educational non-profit organization to assist young musicians and advanced students to aspire to high standards.

In this lecture recital, Janos will present insights into the Beethoven Piano Sonatas – Liszt Edition of 1856, to which he, in conjunction with Prof. Lszlo Simon, has contributed commentaries. This will be part of the NZSM Piano Students Performance Workshop class, but members of the public are welcome and encouraged to attend.
