Te Kōkī, New Zealand School of Music hosts a special concert from Triple Harp specialist Robin Ward.

Robin, international harpist and alumnus of the School of Music, presents a programme that is an exploration of music, played on his own handcrafted triple harp. As well as playing the harp Robin is also an accomplished instrument maker and harp teacher.

The programme showcases the adaptability and versatility of this unique instrument and includes music from both the folk and classical traditions. It includes music originally written for the instrument as well as Robin's own transcriptions.

Robin’s talent, combined with his engaging and informative performance approach, is a treat not to be missed. Audiences thoroughly enjoy the wide selection of Robin's programmes, as well as his performance style, that brings each piece to life. Robin is currently residing in the UK, where he has been touring extensively.

His programme for this concert will range from works by John Dowland and John Parry through to Francisco Tarrega and Isaac Albéniz.
