Malbas Timaru is pleased to bring you One Six the band. Hailing from Christchurch they are well prepared for what Timaru has to offer them.

The gig itself kicks off at 10.30pm with a live acoustic act, with One Six starting at around 11.45pm. DJ Vadar Malbas resident Dj will finish the night off with all you favourites to finish the night off.

One Six are off on their South Island Tour in aims to share their music to the masses.

With a unique and fresh sound of reggae to hit Aotearoa, One Six are quickly becoming one of the must-see bands from the South Island. With high dynamics in their songs, they have the ability to capture your attention, get you grooving, get you singing along to songs you've never heard before and get you believing in the fight against the man!

This year One Six have charted #1 on the Dub/Roots/Reggae chart on with their rhythmic interpretation of the Lion King classic 'Be Prepared' and are preparing for the release of their first nationwide single release. New to the scene, One Six have already played to hundreds of reggae fans, sharing the stage with local bands, 1 Drop Nation, Merchants of Flow and Medway Roots to name a few. They came out with second place in the UCSA Battle of the Bands and recently made the finals of the National Battle of the Bands where their drummer (formerly from the kiwi band 'The Dukes') won the Best Drummers Award (in competition with hundreds of bands around all of Aotearoa).

With Christchurch's own, Siaosi, setting the scene with a smooth hour of acoustic versions of your favourites, this show is set to be a great one indeed!
