Kaipara Coast Sculpture Gardens are preparing for their exciting new exhibition, Exhibition 2014 featuring 57 new works by 49 established and emerging New Zealand artists who are passionate about expressing their ideas through sculpture.

The new sculptures will relate, reflect and explore the natural beauty of this region of Auckland, the Kaipara Harbour, the flora and fauna, threats to the environment, the history of the land, colonisation and socio-political issues relating to this area, New Zealand and where our country fits in the global arena.

For this exhibition we have had artists selected from all over New Zealand with Rod and Marguerite Davies, from Kaitaia, in the north to Russell Beck and Phil Newbury from Invercargill in the south.

“Kaipara Coast appreciates the huge commitment of time, finances and love for their art that is required for artists to travel these large distances to exhibit their work in this time of economic uncertainty. Every year the work on display is really different and this year windows and reflective surfaces offer a peek into different worlds.” says Sally Lush Curator of the sixth annual exhibition at the gardens.
