On view at Form for the month of April is Post-Portage an exhibition that gives Cantabrians a unique opportunity to view a number of works from the Portage Awards for Ceramics which amazed Auckland crowds. Form is delighted to offer an array of New Zealand leading ceramics with its top 6 artists.

On view is Katie Mclean whose interest in photography and printing processes are utilised in her ceramic practice. As well, as Julie and Peter Collis who construct pieces from porcelain paper clay building intricate lattice structures.

Similarly, Liz Rowe’s works depicts the steel framework found in concrete building and has a strong architectural reference. Fiona Henderson offers a different aesthetic with her hand-formed works that embody a connection to human existence.

Margaret Ryley is a Christchurch based artists her porcelain works that respond to the unstable nature of the Canterbury landscape. Chuck Joseph offers a bit of humor with his comical works that are inspired by Pacific and New Zealand culture.

Post-portage is a group exhibition that showcases the high quality of contemporary ceramics in New Zealand. We encourage you to come in and appreciate the talents of these artists through their exquisite works.

Form gallery exhibits and retails the work of New Zealand contemporary object artists, and has been part of the Christchurch Art Community for nearly 20 years. Form last year relocated to its new premise at 468 Colombo St (on the corner of Byron St) in Sydenham

The Post-Portage exhibition opens at Form gallery on Wednesday 3rd April at 5.30pm.

It will be on display from April 4th until April 23rd, Koji Miyazaki and his team looks forward to welcoming you in to view this exclusive exhibition between 10am-5pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
