The Queenstown International Jazz and Blues Festival proudly presents a very special show with Australian Soul and Jazz Queen, Renee Geyer with very special guests Billy TK Jnr & The Groove Shakers and Paul Ubana Jones.

Renée Geyer is a part of Australian music history. Her career has spanned four decades and is still going strong. A precocious jazz, blues and soul singer in her late teens; Countdown royalty in her 20s; a string of pop, soul and reggae hits spanning the 70s and 80s; her LA years in the studio with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Sting, Joe Cocker and Chaka Kahn.

Renee's hit songs are well loved in New Zealand with songs like 'Say You Love Me', "Heading in the right direction' and 'Shaky Ground' among others being a part of many a 'sing along' at kiwi parties.

Renee will be joined on stage by her world class 4 piece band featuring well know guitar virtuoso, March Punch.

Special guests include Kiwi international Blues guitar sensation Billy TK jnr and his band the Groove Shakers. Billy TK Jnr has been touring for 20 years and worked with artists like George Thorogood and the Neville Brother. This year he has toured Europe playing gigantic festival's like the Polish Blues Express and the USA playing state theaters to spell bound audiences. He recently headlined the Cairns Blues Festival as well as being a featured artist at the Gympie Music Muster.

The other special inclusion in this show is UK born and NZ favorite, guitar maestro Paul Ubana Jones. Paul has had a career that also spans 4 decades and has toured and supported artists like Norah Jones and BB King among others. A recent tour in Italy saw Paul add to his notoriety as a world class singer and amazing guitar player.
