The first Queenstown International Jazz & Blues Festival which replaces the previous Queenstown Jazz Festival, is coming to Queenstown over labour weekend from the 24th to the 27th of October 2013.

This festival is proudly presented by Steamer Wharf, Murdoch James Estate Wines, The Breeze and Choice TV.

The event is going to feature almost 70 musicians from the USA, Australia and New Zealand in a program that will have the best of Jazz, blues, soul funk, acid Jazz over the weekend.

Headlining the event is Australian singing legend Renee Geyer with a one chance show at the Queenstown Memorial Hall with Paul Ubana Jones and Billy TK Jnr.

Renee is best known for her hits songs 'Say You Love Me', 'Moving in the right Direction', and 'Shaky Ground' - all songs that have been a part of kiwi party 'sing alongs' for the last 30 years!

The hub of the festival will be located at Steamer Wharf and venues all around the CBD in a festival program that will have free events, ticketed events and a special gala event.

There are free programs at Steamer Wharf Thursday until Sunday and at the Skyline Gondola, Village Green and Novotel Lakeside.

Our official festival host, The Novotel Lakeside ‘is the place to stay’ and really is right in the middle of all the action so go to their website for bookings and inquiries.

We have everything - gala events featuring special performances not in the general program, a great value for money ticketed program and lots to do while moving around town while enjoying the free music.

The special ticketed events are not to be missed so check out all our listings!!
