Rafters is a friendly central Auckland meeting place for live music.
The first half is Open Mic, then after supper we present our guests.

Our guests for this month are: WAI.TAI Songlines in the Tide

Songlines in the tide are where the southernmost ocean currents converge with world music.
Our oceans unite all peoples and the music honours our connections.
Traditional Maori songs and chants are fused with international music to create the wairua-imbued sounds of WAI.TAI
The songs are embodied by the call of the feminine voices, earthy percussions and delicate strings. The lyrics are in Maori and English and the arrangements are emotive, subtle and heartening.

Robyn Kamira, Te Auripo Kamira, Kirsten Taylor, Charles Royal and
Eamon Nathan carefully craft the soundscape that is WAI.TAI
