Knights of the DUB Table:
“These guys have a great style and for me to be a part of their progression is an honor.” – Tiki Taane

The Knights of the DUB Table bring an extremely high energy live experience that gets crowds going every time they perform. The Knights provide a quality live performance with impeccable vocals, live MCing, a punching horn section, heavy bass lines and uplifting songs. The Knights have a distinctive sound encapsulating mixture of genres that flow seamlessly and that strike a chord with crowds all over Aotearoa. The Knights have shared the stage with some of New Zealand’s and the worlds best including, Katchafire, Rhombus, The Black Seeds, Kora, Groundation (USA), Nesian mystik, dDub, Optimus Gryme, the Open Souls and more. 2013 sees the band travelling to Canada to play festivals.

What happens when you combine explosive hooks that will chill your spine, huge energy horn section that will leave you captivated and amazed, Gigantic synths, massive bass drops and a live stage presence that will astound your soul and explode your mind? You are left in the aftermath of a Beautiful Collision that is known as “Chatchy” (Chat-chee).

Music has seen the Chatchy boys perform across the globe including Australia, Japan, China, Taiwan as well as all around New Zealand. Throughout the years they have played alongside a huge lineup of who’s who in NZ, including Six60, Katchafire, Cornerstone Roots, House of Shem, Elemeno P, Dave Dobbyn, J Williams, Batucada Sound Machine and Knights of the Dub Table.

The Changing Same:
Matthew Bannister has made numerous records under different names, with different people – first Sneaky Feelings in Dunedin in the 80s, then the Dribbling Darts of Love in Auckland in the 90s, a solo release as One Man Bannister – Moth (2007) – and another band effort -The Weather’s Aroha Ave (2008). He was also a one time member of Don Mc Gashlan’s Muttonbirds. He now spends his time making music with the Changing Same.

The other band members include Nick Johnston (Sora Shima) and Stan Jagger ( Hollow Grinders, Disco Volante and Der Kranks).

The Heartbreak Kids:
combine the often metaphorical lyrics of songwriter Megan Berry with an eclectic mix of musical influences ranging from Alternative Pop to French Chanson. Add to this concoction guitarist Kent Macpherson’s love of the experimental, guitarist Jared Constable’s mixed genre style, bass player Dan Edgar Reese’s delicate bass lines and drummer Emanuel Comer’s solid, free flowing percussion and the result is an unusual yet familiar sound that finds favour in a wide variety of audiences.

Situation Vacant:
Brother and sister two-piece, Situation Vacant, is relatively new to the music scene. Casey (14) and Kaleesha (12) Messent form the originals rock band. They’re a high-energy pair and are not to be underestimated.

Thanks to the organisers at the Music Expo, the Wintec Set is a lineup of past and present members of Wintec – hence the name, Wintec Set – with the exception of Rock band, Situation Vacant.

Amusement rides running till 10pm!
