The St John National Youth Festival and competitions test the skills of St John Youth Cadets to find the best cadets in the country.

The public is invited to come along and watch the drills (marching) and communication competitions being held at the North Shore Events Centre.

At the same time, St John is hosting a hauora – health and wellbeing – youth expo.
Young people are invited to come along and meet community youth organisations and find out about careers in health.

The organisations that will be exhibiting on the day include St John, Army Opportunities, AUT, Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust, Unitec, Camp Quality, the Heart Foundation, Camp America, Youthtown and Youthline.

The St John National Youth Festival and first aid competitions will be held at Eden Park on Saturday, 27 April from 10am – 3pm.

The St John Youth programme has been going strong for 86 years in New Zealand. It focuses on positive youth development, offering young people from 6 to 18 years great opportunities to develop leadership and decision-making skills. It encourages discovery, adventure and learning – with an emphasis on having fun and meeting new people.
