Hail the gods of metal and comedy, Steve Hughes is back.

One of last year’s international stars of the NZ comedy festival is back. Steve Hughes returns armed with more issues than an occupy movement - confronting alarming and always hilarious.

Straight-talking social commentary from one of the most original and thought-provoking comedians working today. Renowned and revered for his observations and opinions on the everyday political, social and existential world that we live in, little is off limits in this hour long show.

“Acutely observed and cutting hone deep, his insights are spot on, his opinions are intelligent and his jokes are top class” - Guardian UK.

“Makes Armageddon sounds like a proper laugh riot.” - Rolling Stone Magazine.

"Hughes might look like a Motorhead roadie but under the hair there’s a keen satirical brain at work." - London Evening Standard.

"Steve Hughes won’t just have you laughing with his latest show; he’ll change your whole worldview." - Beat Magazine.

Having begun his performance career as the drummer in several Australian thrash metal bands in the '80s, Hughes shipped out in 2002 and has been performing on the overseas stand up circuit ever since, including UK TV spots on BBC1’s Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and Live at The Apollo. Hughes is widely regarded as one of the most exciting stand up comedians working the stages of the UK, Europe and Australia and returns to NZ following sellout shows internationally.

Book now, his debut year was a sellout!
