Wow after such a huge turnout last week we would strongly advise booking a table to guarantee your spot to listen to this weeks Supper Club Act. Returning after helping us launch the Supper Club we are excited to bring back the amazing and extremely talented Margot & Anton – 'Mr & Mrs'.

Margot is no stranger to Hawke’s Bay audiences, having regularly performed in various groups since moving to Napier from Wellington over nine years ago. She sings in a wide variety of styles, but her first great love has always been vocal jazz in the vein of Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughn.

Having studied at the Christchurch Jazz School, Margot moved to Auckland where she promptly found work (and a residency at De Bretts) in the funk band 'Colours'. When this finished she moved to Wellington, where she quickly became a fixture on the scene, working with cover bands, the jazz group 'Shaken Not Stirred', and a critically lauded 'Nina Simone tribute' at the Wellington International Jazz Festival. She went on to become a regular member of the well-known percussion group 'Strike' ('Strike Sound System'), alongside Lisa Tomlins ('Fly My Pretties', 'Fat Freddie’s Drop', etc.) headlining such venues as the 'Queenstown Winter Festival' and the 'Manukau Arts Festival'.

Having moved to Napier she joined the (world famous in Hawke’s Bay) 'Tropical Downbeat Orchestra' and featured on their debut recording ('Live at the Century Theatre'). Following this she has performed with most of the Bay’s best, including: Dave Boston, Kevin Watson, John Fletcher, Willie D., Wil Sargisson, Dave Atkin.

Anton is best known to Hawke’s Bay audiences as a talented saxophonist and clarinettist. In his varied career he has performed with 'Saxcess' (a classical saxophone quartet), 'The Slab' (a free improvisation ensemble), 'The Tropical Downbeat Orchestra' (a local funk/soul group), and the Hawke’s Bay Regional Orchestra, as well as free lancing in many ad-hoc classical, jazz, rock and funk groups.
