Clairy Browne and the Bangin' Rackettes

Fresh off the back of SXSW and a headline tour of the USA, Clairy Browne & the Bangin' Rackettes, roll into New Plymouth with a rousing and rambunctious concoction of soul, surf and rhythm n' blues, ideally matched to blow your socks off!

2013 has already been a mammoth year for the band, following the prodigious success of their debut album, "Baby Caught the Bus" reaching number 66 on the US iTunes charts, and their single "Love Letter" featuring in a hugely popular Heineken ad. In February, the band was signed to the prestigious Vanguard label, followed by a twenty-six stop North American tour from Arizona to Alabama.

Their live show is an immersive experience from tough, hip hop tinged soul, to heart-wrenching doo-wop, all delivered with Clairy's big soul voice, the Rackettes lush vocal harmonies, huge horns and a forceful rhythm section. The band has it all: good songs, powerful front-woman and irresistible visuals.
