Using the WiFi you can bid on a huge range of goodies that are up for grabs; including the right to light the Temple on fire!

Items will be listed on Trade Me from August 1st:

The Pallet Pavilion has free wifi so bring your laptops, ipads and smartphones to join the bidding wars- to those of you outside of Christchurch, get involved with the excitement from the safety of your own homes!

There will be performances from some of Christchurch's finest artists and musicians, bonus auctions, raffles and give-aways throughout the afternoon. Also you get to join us for a fire show on the Temple site as our finale.

Its right by the Temple site, so why not make a day of it and come help us build from 10am onward. Project manager and Artist Hippathy Valentine will give a talk on the Temple at 2pm.

Tickets are $10 and can be found at

Please bring cash for our raffle and on site auctions.

If you have items you wish to donate to the auction, bring them down to the Temple site or contact

The Temple for Christchurch Trust is a registered charity that is working on a community mental health initiative and art installation for the people of Christchurch. All money raised through this online charity auction will go towards our charitable purpose.

The installation is designed off of the seismic wave forms of the main shock on February 22nd 2011. It will be open for 2 weeks from September 1 - 14 where the pubic will be invited to write their earthquake experiences, or anything else they wish to let go of, on it's walls. After closing, the Temple will be moved out of the city and ceremonially burned on September 21 at Motrukarara to signify the release of the stories it has gathered.
