Jason Kerrison & The Babysitters Circus

Opshop’s lead singer Jason Kerrison will return to the stage with former Opshop founding member Tim Skedden at a concert which also features The Babysitters Circus.

In 2011 Kerrison was made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the Queen's Birthday Honours for services to music and is also an APRA Silver Scroll Award winner. For the last two years he has been a judge on TV’s New Zealand’s Got Talent show.

Opshop was formed in 2002. Their first album “You Are Here” was released in 2004, followed by “Second Hand Planet” in 2007 which received triple platinum certification and included their hits “One Day” and “Maybe” which was the first song by a New Zealand band to go to the Number One position on iTunes New Zealand in its history. Their third album “Until The End Of Time” was released in 2010 and debuted at number one on the New Zealand album charts.

The Babysitters Circus is a four piece New Zealand electronica/bass and funk/groove show. Though they have only been performing together for a couple of years they have already enjoyed outstanding success with their hits “It’s Gonna Be Alright” and “No More”.

Jamie Greenslade, better known as solo hip-hop artist Maitreya, is another Silver Scroll winner, taking away the APRA Maioha Silver Scroll Award in 2010.

Tim Skedden has enjoyed a long musical career, being a founding member of both The Feelers and also OPSHOP and while Tim has previously thrilled fans with his guitar playing, he is now stepping more into the limelight and unleashing his too long kept hidden song-writing and vocal talents.

Newcomer Selwyn Leaf completes the TBC line up. A natural entertainer, he brings a big top boom to each and every occasion and adds a soulful tone to the groups high energy performances.
