After five years of sold out shows, this one night only comedy extravaganza brings ‘The Good Guys’ of NZ & International comedy together for its sixth year, for what has become a New Zealand International Comedy Festival event not to be missed!

Hosted by the loveable Ben Hurley, this multiple award winning line up donate their time & talent year after year for vulnerable kids supported by SpinningTop, a children’s charity committed to giving balance to vulnerable children!

In Wellington on the 12th May, your host, Ben Hurley will be joined by well known NZ and international comedians, Dai Henwood, Jeremy Elwood, Steve Wrigley, Michele A’Court, James Nokise, Vaughan King and more.

“SpinningTop is so humbled year after year that this star studded line-up agree to be part of our little/BIG show. They take considerable time out of their busy schedules with most travelling especially to be a part of the show. Many participants are involved in SpinningTop at other levels throughout the year including regular donors, and involvement in other fund raising initiatives, so it is not just a once a year thing for ‘The Good Guys’ they really are a bunch of bloody good guys” – SpinningTop Manager, Pat Shepherd.

“Each year SpinningTop manages to make this show bigger and better. It’s pretty rare to get this sort of top quality line up of comics together and the reason is pretty clear; it’s a great cause and it’s a great show. The mixture of both local and international acts makes this one of the best shows in the Comedy Festival and knowing that it is raising funds for something so important makes it one of the most worthy also. The audience loves it, the comics love it and I can’t wait to get involved again” – Dai Henwood.

Thumbs up to this amazing lineup for donating their time & talent to SpinningTop projects, amongst other things, last years show helped abused children in Samoa – mostly sexual abuse, forced to live in shelters, as their homes are no longer a place of safety. These children range in age from new born (born of incest) through to 19 years.

This years show will provide the funds to build a school for 140 children in Burma. Htee Ther Leh village is situated one hour drive into the jungle of Burma. Currently one small school room is used to teach 140 children, with 6 teachers. With some positive changes in Burma, it’s time for more children to return home and with an adequate school and high quality teachers, we’re excited that we can play a part in bringing education to the children.
