The Scale Model Show is a 2-day show case of everything about plastic modelling. This year's show will be the biggest of its kind ever held in Auckland and a 'must-see' event for all modellers and their families, with something to inspire everyone from seasoned pros to 7-year olds wanting to build their very first kit. On display will be a huge range of plastic models from aircraft, vehicles, ships and figures to sci-fi and dioramas, as well as special-theme displays.

Modellers of all ages and abilities will enjoy attending the workshops offering tips and advice on a variety of topics including weathering, decalling and airbrushing. And, for children who are keen to give modelling a try, there will be several 'Project Airfix' sessions with step-by-step instruction and their kit to take home to complete at the end. These sessions are always popular and are open to children aged between 7 and 16 years.

We're also hosting the IPMS National Model Competition, giving you a chance to see the very best model making that NZ has to offer. And, for the general public, we'll be holding an Open Competition with great Airfix prizes for anyone who would like to submit their own models. Jump online and visit our website for more information about the competitions and how to enter.

For those needing model retail therapy, the lastest products plus hard-to-find specialist items and reference books will be on sale from Model Air, Mighty Ape, Tinkering Tools and Capital Books. Plus, Apex Photographic Supplies will be demonstrating how to get the best out of model photography.

Sunday's show will end with a prize giving cermony at 2.15pm where trophies, certificates and prizes will be awarded.
