Listed by: Tom Rodwell

Join UK guitarist Tom Rodwell ("Sheffield's answer to Lightnin' Hopkins", NME) for an audacious night of blues, boogie, spirituals and calypso at soul-food restaurant Jambalaya in Manly Village, on Saturday 26th October.

Rodwell is joined by William John Hooker on cigar box guitar, sax and percussion for the concert. Audiences can expect an evening of music both foot-stomping and thought-provoking to go with the sinful southern specialities on offer from the Jambalaya kitchen.

"By turns wild, angry, hypnotic and sensual, it's as uncompromising as it is funky and some of the best live music I've seen," - Blues in London.

Touring internationally since 2003, Rodwell & his band Storehouse have appeared at festivals and clubs in the UK, Switzerland, Holland and the US, while in New Zealand he has opened for acts including Leon Russell, Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi, and Trinity Roots (at the Auckland Town Hall).
