A university professor and a busker musician are accidentally left behind in a contaminated city after a nuclear disaster. Hoping to catch the last evacuation train at an abandoned railway station, they discover a strange winged creature.

Unforgotten is an original play written by Ukrainian native and Christchurch resident Nataliya Oryshchuk. Initially inspired by Tohby Riddle’s poem about a tired angel, it evolved into a story based on Nataliya’s childhood memories and impressions of Chernobyl’s nuclear disaster. It is a touching and thought-provoking tale of survival and hope in a surreal hopeless world. “And I used to think, there must be someone. To watch over, to warm and to mend. Secretly, quietly.”

The team of no Productions collective - Nataliya Oryshchuk (writer, producer, actress), Damien McGrath (director) and Charlotte Crone (composer) - join with two Christchurch actors: Aaron Richardson (Musician) and Andrew Bell (Professor).

Tickets: $20 waged/$15 unwaged.
