Emily Perkins talks to Finlay Macdonald
Emily Perkins – the writer & woman. In this rare opportunity, one of New Zealand’s leading writers sits down for an afternoon free wheeling discussion with Finlay Macdonald.

Emily's professional career inspires the next generation . She has taught creative writing in the UK, convened the Masters of Creative Writing at the University of Auckland and is now Senior Lecturer at Victoria University, Wellington.

Her novels include the NZ Montana Award winner NZ and US Believer Book of the Year Award Novel About My Wife. Her most recent novel The Forrests published last year was selected as Book of the Year in the Daily Telegraph, Observer and the New Statesman and long listed for the Women’s Prize for Fiction 2013 and short listed for Best Book of Fiction ( NZ).

Finlay Macdonald is a widely respected columnist to several NZ newspapers and publications. He is the former editor of the NZ Listener.
