We’re off to Italy to explore the delights of tortellini made totally from scratch using a pasta machine. These classes are always very popular with both girls and boys so book early to avoid disappointment. Tortellini folding can be a bit of a challenge even for adults but we make it painless, approachable and totally achievable with a few simple techniques. We’ll be making beetroot pasta dough filled with beetroot, ricotta, mint and pine nuts. The children will make a simple fresh tomato, garlic and balsamic sauce and fresh pesto to go with their pasta.

While the pasta and tomato sauce is gentle bubbling away the kids will plant three little pots of herbs that they can take home with them and grown on their window ledge. For pudding we’ll be serving home made pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, based on a recipe from London’s famous Hummingbird Bakery.

Prepare to be amazed at what your child has achieved when you pick them up; gorgeous little tortellini that even an Italian would be proud of.
