A seven-session course on Wednesday evenings 7-9pm starting 23 October 2013. Tutor: Konrard Wojak. Tuition cost $126 plus purchase own project materials.

In our newly renovated workrooms you will be introduced to the skills you need to make, repair and restore furniture, finishing and staining, as well as the care and maintenance of tools.

Repair or restore an old treasure or make a small piece of furniture from scratch.

Consider a small project you would like to undertake during the class. For example, you may wish to restore an old chair. Or to make a small shelf. The internet has a wide range of project suggestions and instructions. If you bring your ideas to the first class, Konrard will talk you through the materials required and a suggested approach. The first session of the course is very much about organising projects, familiarisation with the woodwork room and demonstration of some of the machines if time allows.

Unfortunately, we do not have storage available at the school, so your project must be portable.

Suitable for those new to the craft of woodwork. Designed for adult students but suitable for young people of High School age. Please note this class does not teach upholstering.

Konrard has been teaching night class woodworking for many years and has a loyal following of students who return term after term to learn more from him.
