This years Tauranga White Ribbon Tug-of-War event is a event where teams of men enter to compete against one other to show that they are against violence towards woman and children, and to take the pledge to never commit, condone or remain silent about violence towards woman.

White Ribbon Day celebrates the many men willing to show leadership and commitment to promoting safe, healthy relationships within families and encourages men to challenge each other on attitudes and behaviour that are abusive.

It is also a great opportunity for the community to make a stand against this form of violence by coming and supporting the teams and being apart of the day.

The event will be even better this year with a Bucking Bull for all ages to try their luck on, a large bouncy castle, the Samba Drummers, children’s face painting and clown, sausage sizzle, Raffles and Hampers and many more activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Most rides and activities are free/donation but bring along some change for the sausage sizzle and raffle hampers.

We will also have the White Ribbon Riders arrive at Fraser Cove after 5.00 pm to show their support towards the campaign.

We would love to see Tauranga get involved – so grab a white ribbon and head on down to Fraser Cove Shopping center on the 28th November at 5pm to show your support and have a great evening out with the whole family.
