Here's another reason to come and explore Rotoroa Island this summer; a series of free specialist walks and talks. Enjoy our island hospitality and get to spend some time with our fantastic friends from Auckland Zoo plus Rotoroa Island Trust experts. You'll learn about conservation, restoration and the special social history of the island.

There is no charge for any of the tours and talks; they're added extras for people coming for a relaxing day of walking, swimming and exploring.

A legacy of salvation continues on Tuesday 25 February involves Island manager, Phil Salisbury talking about Rotoroa's Salvation Army history, from its days as an inebriates' prison to its transformation into a conservation estate.
