This course is for those who have completed our Simple and Powered Lego Machines course. It includes challenging new models, and has been extended to two hours to provide the extra time needed for completion of these models.

In this fun 8 week course, your kids will build on what they have learnt in our Simple and Powered Lego Machines course. They will face new challenges as they work together to construct and then modify more complex models. Introductory robotics concepts will also be introduced, and their understanding of mechanics, physics and propulsion systems will be extended.

Lego Technics is a construction system that provides children with the freedom to
build structures and machines, in an imaginative, creative, and playful setting. It allows them to think with their hands and their heads, as they give life to their ideas.

Why do we use Lego?
Because it is fun, really fun! And because when kids build with Lego they use almost all of the brain’s capacities; visual/spatial, kinesthetic, logical, interpersonal,
intrapersonal, and naturalistic.

Why do we run this course?
Because creativity, innovation, collaboration, & communication are essential skills for our kids to have. And because kids really do enjoy tinkering. We see their smiles, and the joy that creating gives them.
