Proudly sponsored by L’Oréal Paris, the Alliance Française French Film Festival has firmly established itself as the largest French cultural event on New Zealand’s national cultural calendar. Following a five-fold increase in attendance figures since 2012, the festival is now one of the largest French film festivals outside of France in the entire world and a diverse showcase of the best contemporary French-language cinema.

The festival will return to Cinema Gold Havelock North from 27 March to 6 April 2014.

The full film selection will be announced on 31 January 2014. “We’ve got our most diverse film selection yet,” promises Festival Director Sarah Reese, “We know there’s something there for everyone and we really look forward to announcing the full selection in January.” Four festival films, including Nicolas Vanier’s much-anticipated Belle and Sebastian, have just been unveiled on the festival website for the annual Education Outreach Programme.
