The works of one of New Zealand's most acclaimed poets will be performed at the Hastings City Art Gallery to mark the 50th anniversary of poet Hone Tuwhare’s most celebrated work, No Ordinary Sun.

Allow Me to Mend The Broken Ends of Shared Days is the fourth verse from Tuwhare’s poem, 'Friend'. It is directed by Puti Lancaster and performed by Pereri King, Puriri Koria and Teina Moetara.

Performing to an intimate audience of 20 people will enable the performance to move through the gallery, and hopefully fulfill the director's wish that the audience connect with the themes of Tuwhare' poems and identify with how they fit within our own lives 50 years down the track.
