Animation Revelations Festival | July 3-5, 2014 | AUT City Campus
Three days of screenings, workshops and panels dedicated to animation.

Starting on Thursday 3 July with a hand-picked selection of animated film screenings including a specially curated New Zealand animation programme. The official launch event kicks off at 5pm followed by a 3D Stereoscopic film screening at Event Cinemas.

To give your eyes a break on Friday July 4 we will be running workshops with international guest animators Munro Ferguson and Nadia Micault, together with two panels: ‘Animation: Beyond the Screen’ and ‘Animation and the Real’.

Saturday offers repeat film screenings and an Ed Hooks Masterclass "Acting for Animators".

Once again we are pleased to announce that Malcolm Turner, Director of Melbourne International Animation Festival is on board to pull a stunning collection of animated clips together from around the world, as well as showcasing the best of our local animation scene.

Acting for animators by the legendary Ed Hooks – Learn how the animation masters at studios like Pixar and Dreamworks build great acting performances into their characters with Ed Hooks, the recognised global expert in acting for animation. Ed Hooks has developed a comprehensive means to teach basic acting theory to animators that covers the connections between thinking, emotion, and physical action.
