Auckland Zoo is teaming up with long-time friends and supporters, ASB, to celebrate elephants at ASB Elephant Weekend on 7 and 8 June.
This jumbo two-day celebration will be action-packed with elephant walks and encounters, elephant-themed story-time, and the opportunity to see our elephant Burma up-close.
Get along to a public weighing of Burma in Jamuna Plaza at 2pm and help guess her weight, then enjoy seeing Burma and her keepers up-close at the Band Rotunda at 2.15pm.
You can also enter the competition to guess the number of ASB Kashin money boxes inside the gumball machine, and be in to win one of five $100 ASB Headstart accounts.
At the Old Elephant House check out old footage of Auckland Zoo’s elephants that will screen throughout each day.
For the kids, there will also be elephant themed games and activities, face-painting and tattoos and elephant masks and ASB Kashin money box give-aways.
Normal Zoo admission prices apply to this event, but every paying adult who uses an ASB card to purchase tickets will receive one free child entry (not valid with any other offer).
