The festival is an iconic Auckland event which is now in its 39th year. It is a vibrant celebration of colour and culture, which has Auckland students proudly performing kapa haka and traditional Pacific dance, while competing for trophies and the honour of best school group.

The 2014 ASB Polyfest takes place from the 12th – 15th of March at the Manukau Sports Bowl, Te Irirangi Drive, Manukau. It will feature traditional dance and speech, and will bring the pride and passion of Auckland’s Maori and Pacific Island communities to life.

The other key component of the ASB Polyfest is food and craft. Each stage has a surrounding village with the food & craft of that culture in plentiful supply.

Students will compete on five stages - Cook Islands, Maori, Niue, Samoan and Tongan. There is also a Diversity Stage featuring performances cultural groups such as Chinese, Fijian and Indian, Korean, Sri Lankan.
