James Nokise is New Zealand's favourite (and only) Samoan/Welsh stand-up comic. He is the first Pacific Islander to work fulltime on the United Kingdom stand-up comedy circuit and is also one of the top young comedians in New Zealand, performing hugely successful one hour solo shows in six New Zealand International Comedy festivals (in Auckland and Wellington). James will perform So So Gangsta, a hilarious show about New Zealand gang culture and the way society responds to it.

Performing with James Nokise is two-time Tui finalist Mel Parsons and Gerry Paul. A well-known fixture on the NZ touring circuit, Mel Parsons has been a key player in raising the roofs of woolsheds around the country with 'The Bitches' Box' sell out tours (including Taranaki International Arts Festival, 2013). Parsons is in her element on stage, and she will take the audience on a journey through quiet and heartfelt folk ballads through to rollicking country foot-stompers.
