On Thursday the 26th of June Dunedin three-piece Black Sky Hustler release their debut album ‘Racket Empire’ and simultaneously kick off their South Island tour at Chicks Hotel in Port Chalmers, Dunedin.

Black Sky Hustler is a high energy, genre blending band encompassing forms of Punk, Thrash, Ska, and Drum n Bass backed with a powerful and exciting performance to match.

In 2011 Black Sky Hustler came into being and “straight off the bat” came third place in that year's OUSA Battle of The Bands, closely followed by locking themselves in Albany Street Studios to produce their self-titled Ep. In 2012 Black Sky opened the prestigious Feastock to a highly approving crowd.

Following the departure of Bass player Peter Crisp in 2012, Black Sky garnered the experience and skill of Brett Eades(formerly of UTTR) and, in August 2013, headed out on tour with ska/punk band TLA.

This year Amazing Enterprises is taking Black Sky Hustler on the road again to revisit their favourite hangouts and make some new friends tying in with the release of ‘Racket Empire’. The dates are as follows:

Thursday 26th of June,
Chicks Hotel, Dunedin
With support from Machina Rex and Bottle
-There will be a bus to and from the show leaving Countdown on Cumberland St at 8.30pm (heading via the university library Albany St bus stop, 8.45) and returning around 1am. The bus is free with a Radio One Club card or $5 either way, Radio One cards are available on the bus for $10.

The show is proudly sponsored by Velvet Worm Brewery and Radio One and is free of charge to the public.
