A selection of the BraveArt works will be on display, celebrating the positive powers of sport and art.
Nine breast cancer survivors and members of CanSurvive Dragon Boat Team members cast their own torsos in plaster, along with six celebrity supporters.

Wellington artists were matched with paddlers and celebrities. The plaster busts provided them with a unique canvas to create artworks in a variety of styles. BraveArt artists range from oil and acrylic painters to theatre designers, jewellers and ceramic artists, street and pop artists.

The result is an astonishing collection of sixteen unique artworks created onto women’s bodies, many showing the scars of breast cancer treatment.

All BraveArt works have been donated for sale at a charity auction event - 7pm 21 August 2014 at Academy Galleries, 1 Queen's Wharf, Wellington.
