Are you:
- Female
- Aged between 18-28 yrs
- Of Irish birth or descent?

It doesn't matter if you're born and bred in NZ as long as even your great, great, great grandfather or grandmother is Irish.

For the young Irish ladies already living in Canterbury as an entrant you must: "be living in the region you wish to represent for minimum of one year and recommend that if selected as the Rose that you will remain resident in this region for the following 12 months"

The Canterbury Regional Rose of Tralee Selection Night will be held at The Cashmere Club on the 29 March 2014.

Some of the attributes we are looking for in a winning Rose are:
- Personality and presence (above all, be yourself)
- Social awareness and presentation (community involvement, etiquette,deportment)
- Accomplishments (education, career, charity work, etc).
- The "X" factor (what makes you stand out from the rest)

A three step process to winning the Rose of Tralee title:
1. Canterbury Regional Rose Selection (29 March 2014 @ The Cashmere Club)
2. NZ National Rose of Tralee Final (31 May 2014 @ Twiggers, Chch)
3. The International Rose of Tralee International Festival (August 2014 Co. Kerry, Ireland.)

The Rose of Tralee International Festival is one of Ireland's largest and longest running festivals, celebrating 55 years in 2014. The heart of the festival is the selection of the Rose of Tralee which brings young women of Irish descent from around the world to County Kerry, Ireland for a global celebration of Irish culture. The festival also includes street entertainment, carnival, live concerts, theatre, circus, markets, funfair, fireworks and our internationally renowned Rose Parade.
