Carousel & Clothesline - Vague de Cirque

Direct from Montreal, Vague de Cirque is embarking on their first-ever Australian and New Zealand tour with their latest show, Carousel & Clothesline – and they’re coming to Auckland.

From tightropes and trapeze to magic and contortion, this boutique vagabond circus, created by alumni of the renowned Cirque du Soleil and Cirque Éloize, brings the enchantment, humour and thrill of the big top to Auckland’s Herald Theatre this April in a show that’s perfect for the whole family.

The spirited and versatile troupe of Vague de Cirque, created by two of Canada’s foremost circus artists, Alain Boudreau and Noémie Gervais in 2009, has dazzled audiences all over Canada and now finally comes to New Zealand straight from the Adelaide Fringe.

Vague de Cirque’s fourth production takes the deep traditions of the circus and mixes it with the performers insatiable desire for grandeur and spangle. Throw in a touch of the absurd, a pinch of slapstick, some world class acrobatics by eight acrobat comedians and you have yourself a show not to be missed.
