The Troubles - “The best contemporary jazz band in the Pacific ….” comprises three talented string players, a legendary double bass player, an acclaimed saxophonist, plus John Rae - leader, percussionist and composer for an exuberant group. The music for their programme is influenced by Middle East and South American traditions.

The Troubles are Tristan Carter (violin), Andrew Filmer (viola), Charley Davenport (cello), Patrick Bleakley (bass), Tim Hopkins (sax) and John Rae (drums).
