Discover the dangers of the sea with a special Museum trail for big and little explorers. Search for clues to solve a puzzle and find out what makes the ocean a dangerous place.

From hospital ships to deep sea divers, stormy seas to getting shipwrecked, find out what makes the ocean a dangerous place with the Maritime Museum's trail for young explorers. For just $5 per child, kids can borrow an explorers’ kit to help them follow the danger trail through the Museum galleries. Complete with periscope and binoculars to help them solve a range of clues, there's a prize at the end for every child who takes part.

Running every day until mid December, there's a special trail for little explorers aged 4 - 7, and a more challenging trail for kids aged 8 - 12.

Plus - if the weather’s fine, you can get out on the water, with a one hour cruise on a traditional scow. Feel the sun on your face and enjoy the view of Auckland's skyline and the Harbour Bridge.
