We are pleased to announce another enamelling weekend workshop taught by Sally Laing, a master in the craft!

Enamelling is an ancient craft which offers contemporary interpretation. Layers of specially formulated coloured ground glass are fused to metal in a kiln at high temperature. Images are built up over many firings ,which take only minutes in the kiln, adding the excitement of seeing almost instant results.

The two day course (9.30 – 4pm) offers students the time to learn, experiment and come away enriched with knowledge as well as with several unique enamel jewels. It offers an introduction to the preparation, application, and firing of vitreous enamel on copper and silver through a number of guided projects.
